First up, a good face moisturizer is an absolute must. I like to switch to a richer formulation during the winter months to make sure my skin is getting all the hydration it needs. My current favorite is the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream, which is super thick and creamy but doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. Another option is the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, which is also very thick and rich but has a gel-like texture that makes it a little lighter and more refreshing.
For body care, I make sure to use a moisturizing body wash in the shower and follow up with a deeply hydrating body lotion or butter. My current body wash favorite is the Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash, which leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated after just one use. And for body lotion, I really love the Kiehl’s Butterstick Lip Treatment as a body lotion alternative. It’s super rich and emollient but doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin.
Finally, don’t forget about your hands! The cold weather can take a toll on your hands, leaving them feeling dry, rough and chapped. I always make sure to keep a tube of hand cream in my purse so I can re-apply whenever my hands start feeling dry.
